Parents and Supporters

We welcome contact from parents and supporters with concerns about a resident. We cannot always share details about how a resident is doing, but we always act on information shared with us.

Speak to a Wellbeing Adviser

Our Wellbeing Advisers offer one-to-one support for residents who are struggling with their mental health or wellbeing. To request an appointment, submit a referral using the form below

Wellbeing Advisers are part of the Residence Life team and work alongside the University Student Wellbeing Service. If you need urgent support, contact the ACE Response Team on 0131 651 2094 (24 hours).

The Adivce Place at Edinburgh University Students' Association provide free, impartial advice on a wide range of issues you may encounter as a student.


Report and Support is the University's platform for reporting experiences of sexual violence, harassment, hate crime, domestic abuse, stalking, and other distressing situations. You can report anonymously or with your details, and you can ask for support without making a formal report.

If you have experienced something distressing, you do not need to decide immediately whether to make a formal report. Report and Support is a safe first step.
